The Mirka tool range consists of high quality tools for professional use. Mirka warrants your tool to be free from manufacturing defects or material failures.

Warranty

Mirka tools are covered by a two-year warranty starting from the date of purchase. By registering your Mirka tool within 30 days of purchase, you are covered by an additional year of warranty. The warranty period is one year if the tool, battery and charger are used continuously in industrial applications. You can register your Mirka tool, battery and charger at: www.mirka.com/warranty_registration Warranty certificates are machine specific and customer specific. Each tool must be declared separately. The statement and additional warranty are not transferable to another person or company. The battery pack and charger included with the purchase of the tool are covered by the 2+1 year warranty plan. Warranty does not cover parts purchased separately. The battery is guaranteed for 2+1 years / 300 charge cycles from the date of purchase, whichever comes first. If a problem occurs with a Mirka tool covered by these warranty terms, and the problem is caused by a manufacturing defect or material failure, then Mirka will repair the tool free of charge, subject to the terms and conditions of the warranty are hereby declared. In order to maintain the validity of your tool warranty, the tool must be used, maintained and operated in accordance with the safety and handling instructions provided by Mirka.
Terms and conditions
The Mirka tool warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.
Warranty does not cover
• Any damage due to misuse, negligence during use or maintenance, accidents, exposure to extreme temperatures, acids, water, improper storage, excessive impact or damage due to transportation.
• Defects due to parts, accessories or components other than genuine Mirka parts and accessories.
• Air tools used with unfiltered air or without lubrication.
• Items subject to normal wear and tear such as: support disc, brake seal, guard, rotor, vanes, exhaust connector, muffler, bearings, brushes, rubber base, battery (with more than 300 charge cycles) or power cord.
• Tools that have undergone: modification, repair or repair attempts (by a person other than Mirka’s authorized service), partially or completely disassembled tools.
Mirka accessories, box, product samples and/or promotional products are not covered by warranty.
Parts repaired or replaced by an authorized Mirka service center under warranty have a 3-month warranty.
Repairs within the warranty period do not extend or renew the original warranty period of the tool.
No one other than Mirka is authorized to modify or extend or add to the given warranty terms and conditions.
These warranty terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Finland, excluding the laws and ordinances on the international sale of goods. Consumers may have other mandatory legal rights in their country which are not limited by these warranty terms, as the warranty is governed by the law of the country where the product was purchased by the consumer. This warranty does not cover compensation for downtime, loss of production, personal injury or property damage.
Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with these warranty terms or in any way relating to their subject matter, including but not limited to any claim relating to the product, its manufacture, any warranty relating thereto or any stated defect in such product, shall be settled by arbitration under the rules of the Central Chamber of Commerce in Helsinki by one (1) arbitrator appointed under said rules. The place of arbitration shall be Helsinki and the language used in the arbitration shall be English. In cases of interpretation difficulties or discrepancies, the source language will be used.
Under mandatory statutory rights, consumers may initiate legal proceedings in the courts of the country in which the product was purchased by the consumer, or the country of residence of the consumer, and such mandatory statutory rights shall prevail. Submitting a warranty claim To submit a claim for warranty repair, please contact your local Mirka dealer or your local Mirka customer support department. Tools returned for warranty repair must be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase or invoice. For repairs under the extended warranty period, the tool must be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase or invoice and a valid warranty extension certificate. Otherwise the warranty will not apply. The warranty claim must be submitted with as little delay as possible. The warranty claim must be submitted within the warranty period.
